The process

I.

Find a reference image

Review the guidelines for pet portrait reference images here. Finding a quality reference photograph is the most important step in commissioning a custom piece.

II.

Choose a size

Decide what size scratchboard you would like your portrait to be. Size options and pricing are listed below.

III.

Consultation

Once you have found and or taken one or several photos, send them for consultation. We will discuss the best fit for your scratchboard portrait. After approval of my terms and conditions, you will be sent an invoice for the first 50% installment.

IV.

First draft

A photograph of the completed custom portrait will be emailed to you for your review and approval.

V.

Invoice

After you approve the finished piece, an invoice will be emailed to you for the final 50% of the payment.

VI.

Shipment

Once the final invoice is paid, the scratchboard artwork will be wrapped and shipped to you.

All pricing for custom scratchboard artwork is based on the size of the final piece.

Time to Completion

Please allow 4–6 weeks for completion. Larger pieces will take longer to complete.

Framing

Custom scratchboard pet portraits come unframed. But feel free to ask for a consultation on how best to have your piece framed.
